Federation Nation State Championships

The Missouri Federation Nation Championships took place October 26th and 27th on Lake of the Ozarks. In the six man club competition Ozark Mountain finished 12 out of the 39 clubs competing. The championships also select a 12 man individual team to compete in divisional competition, top finisher from the club was JD Dendy of Bolivar. Finishing in 19th place J. JD. also captured Big Bass of the tournament with a 6.42 pound largemouth. Club members also competed were Brad Martin, Jeremy Ealy, Jimmy Wharton, David Whitehead and David Blades. Casting Kids Winners

Winners Michael McAlister (11-14) and Josh Barclay (7-10)display their medals and new fishing poles. They will be eligible to compete in the Missouri state championships. Good luck boys.

Casting Kids coming to Ozark

Dennis Hanks Chevrolet in Ozark will be the location of a BASS Casting Kids event on Saturday, October 13 th from 9:00 AM till noon. In its 16 th year, BASS Casting Kids tests a child's skill with a competition of flipping, pitching and casting. Two age groups, 7-10 and 11-14 compete for prizes and a chance to advance to state and national competitions, with over $21,000 in scholarships and prizes available. Entry is free, equipment is provided and instructors from Ozark Mountain Bassmasters will be available. Children must accompanied by parent or guardian. Martin Wraps up AOY

Scorching heat and little wind turned up the heat on Stockton lake August 12 th for the clubs season ending tournament. Brad Martin fishing with his guest, Robert Shackleford , managed to catch three keeper bass weighing 7.5 pounds to win the event. Brad also secures the Ozark Mountain Bassmasters, Angler Of the Year with the win. Dwayne Long and Jeff Stevens took second with the Big Bass of the tournament a 5.13 pound largemouth caught on a topwater. Jimmy Wharton and guest, Doug Kays took third place. Final Standing

The Missouri Federation Nation Championships will be held October 26 th-28 out of PB2, at Lake of the Ozarks. Ozark Mountain will send a team of our top fishermen to compete for a place on the Missouri State Team.

Prospective members are invited to fish with us during our upcoming season, beginning in September 2007.

Almost Full Moon Open Night Tournament on Pomme



Ozark Mountain Bassmasters will attempt another open night tournament, Saturday, July 28th. Hopefully the weather will be better this time around. We'll be launching from The Harbor, fishing from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Entry fee will be $60.00, plus $10.00 optional Big Bass. Payback on entry fee's 80%, one place per five entries, and 100% BB pot, paying 2 places. Draw prizes are being arranged including packages from HookerZ terminal tackle and Cook's Go-To Tackle systems. Thank you, to those that showed interest in our first event.
